In case you missed it

It’s been one of those funny months where I feel like I’ve barely written a word yet it appears I have actually written much more than a few. Maybe it’s because I’ve been writing everywhere but here!

So in case you’ve missed it … here’s where I have been:

Over at Kidspot I am interviewing inspirational mothers about how they manage that tricky balance between their passions and their children. The response to the series has been wonderful and I think you cannot help but be inspired by the three women I have interviewed so far: Bernadette Jiwa, Nathalie Brown and Kerri Sackville.

Speaking of interviews, I got to be on the other side of ‘microphone’ recently when I was profiled on Caz Makepeace’s Mojito Mother site as well as Kirri White’s beautiful coaching site. If you want to know what it’s like to live inside my head (it’s fun … really!) go have a look.

Then there was Lance. Oh Lance. I knew any kind of ‘confession’ on Oprah was going to be pretty soft. But it still infuriated me that in a ‘confession’ interview, he managed to lie outright.  I didn’t think I had it in me to expend any more energy on that guy – but then The Peach asked me to write this.

And finally, I did manage to squeeze out a few thoughts here on my own blog.

In other news

On the design front my favourite thing right now is blog makeovers and recently I had the pleasure of making over this lovely lady’s site. And it’s possible that everyone is in blog/website makeover mode because I am having great fun working on five other new blog designs at the moment (I think I may have this lady to thank!)

Meanwhile, in the rapidly expanding confines of my stomach, Baby Exeter is going very nicely. I am now 29 weeks and after having her measured last weekend and noticing she is tracking a little on the bigger side of things (with a 98th percentile femur!) there is now a chance we might be having her before Easter rather than just after. Um, that’s like 9 weeks away?!

And finally, here are the steak knives

To wrap up, I just had to share a gorgeous venture my friend Cath from Leaf is involved with. It is the Mindful Moments Journal Project, a project you can embark on that helps you build the daily practice of gratitude and the embracing of mindful moment as a family. I think this is so cool, especially if you have kids older than toddler age. Click on the image below for more info :)

Comments ... oh they do make my heart sing!

  1. Hello Kelly, that all sounds a lot. I’d love tot alk to you about making over my Mum’s Diet blog but am going to restrain myself as that was one of my NY resolutions… build on what you have and be patient.

So glad to hear that babe in your tummy is going well.

    Take it very easy indeed.

  2. Love that everything is going well and thank you for the mention xxx

  3. You’re a busy lass, Kelly. I’m still not convinced that your ‘frantic’ and my ‘frantic’ are quite the same thing.

Thanks for your great contribution over on VV so far. Loving the series. x

  4. Hello Kelly,

I just signed up for your book – cannot believe that it’s taken me this long!

And congrats on all of the blog redesign work – you just led me to Present Imperfection and I’m blown away by her writing – look forward to checking out all of the others you’re working with. I’ve been trying to find the right *team* to work with on my blog (tech stuff and front end) and it’s great to see that your work showcases the personality of the blogger.
